NASSAU, Bahamas – Joe Greiner has another new boss.
Greiner is working this week at the Hero World Challenge at Albany Club for Akshay Bhatia.
This marks their first week together. Greiner confirmed to Golfweek that he intends to be Bhatia’s full-time caddie next season.
The 23-year-old Bhatia, a two-time PGA Tour winner who made it to the Tour Championship, is in the field this year as a special exemption. He last played at the Sanderson Farms Championship in October.

Greiner stepped in on the bag for Justin Thomas when his regular caddie, Matt Minister, was sidelined due to injury, and they teamed up to win the RBC Heritage in April. Greiner hooked up with Collin Morikawa but that partnership didn’t last long. Greiner had most recently caddied for Jake Knapp in his most recent start at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August. Knapp joined the Subpar podcast in September and said of Greiner, “Looking forward to next season with him.”
Bhatia is ranked No. 43 in the world and could be a reliable bag for many years to come. He previously worked with Brian Dilley, who left to caddie for David Puig on LIV Golf.
It will be interesting to see who is on the bag for Knapp when he competes in the Grant Thornton Invitational, where he is one half of the defending champion team.
