The Brooklyn Nets are not only coming off their fourth win of the 2025-26 NBA season, but they finally won a home game after failing in their previous nine tries to do so. However, Brooklyn's season continues and with a road matchup looming against the Chicago Bulls, the Nets will be entering the contest without one of their veteran forwards in the rotation.
The Nets announced on Tuesday that forward Terance Mann would be out for Wednesday's game at the Bulls due to right rib soreness. Mann missed Monday's 116-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets due to the same injury and it will be the second game that he has missed this season due to injury after playing in Brooklyn's first 19 games of the season.

With Mann out of the lineup on Monday, Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez inserted guard Tyrese Martin into the starting five, but he didn't have the best outing in place of Mann.
Martin played just 19 minutes and he dropped five points, two rebounds, and three assists as players like rookie forwards Drake Powell and Danny Wolf saw more playing time down the stretch of the game. Martin will most likely be in the starting lineup once again given that he can serve as the primary ball-handler in the offense to allow rookie Egor Demin to play off the ball as needed.
Despite the fact that Mann, Cam Thomas (hamstring), and Haywood Highsmith (knee) are out of the lineup for Wednesday's road game in Chicago, rookie guard Nolan Traore is still out as he remains on assignment with the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn's G League afiliate. This could set the stage for Wolf and rookie Ben Saraf to continue seeing minutes at the NBA level for the time being.
