Manchester United have already agreed a pre-contract deal with Colombian wonderkid Cristian Orozco. He is set to join from next summer once he turns 18.
The defensive midfielder flew to Manchester with United’s lead scout with the teenager spotted taking a picture in front of the iconic Old Trafford.

“CentreDevils understands that Cristian Orozco was at Carrington Training Centre today with a specialist guide from the club and a representative to help him get familiarised with the facilities.
Special tour of Carrington
“The Columbian international has been in Manchester for the past few days, where he also visited Old Trafford and he is rated highly by the scouts.”
United seem to have grand plans for the 17-year-old. Despite being so young, Ruben Amorim has no plans of sending him out on loan once he joins.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe report reveals that the 20-time English league champions are planning to give him the chance to impress in pre-season next summer.
“We can reveal that the youngster is set to be assessed in the preseason of 2026 when he signs his contract with the club at 18.”
United have grand plans for Cristian Orozco
This stance makes a lot of sense given the uncertain futures of several of United’s midfielders. Casemiro’s current deal ends in next summer, and even if he stays, he is not expected to play 90 minutes most of the times.
Manuel Ugarte has been a huge disappointment, and INEOS are considering cutting him loose next year. The head coach also does not seem to rate Kobbie Mainoo as a No.6 in his system.

United had to stave off competition from other clubs to land the Colombia U17 skipper. This deal came about due to INEOS’ renewed efforts in the South American market.
