...Steph Curry will not be back on the court within a week’s worth of time.
The Golden State Warriors star recently suffered a quad injury, and he was initially placed on a one-week re-evaluation timeline. Thursday marks one week for Curry, and the Warriors will take on the Philadelphia 76ers on the road then.
The Warriors will continue their road trip with a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday, and the trip will conclude on Sunday with a matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
...Following the Warriors’ Tuesday night game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Steve Kerr made it clear that Curry won’t be a part of the three-game trip.
“He will not make the trip,” Kerr told reporters. “He’s going to stay home. You know, it was a long shot for him to play in the back-to-back, and we don’t play again until Friday, so it just makes perfect sense for him to stay home, get the rehab done here, get his work in, and hopefully, be ready for Minnesota next Friday.”

Next Friday, the Warriors will host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Curry has plenty of time to rest and recover before the Warriors return to the West Coast.
The Warriors are hitting the road after taking on a loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder. With that defeat, the Warriors have fallen to 11-11, which places them eighth in the Western Conference.

This season, Curry has appeared in 16 games so far. Seeing the court for 31 minutes of action on average, the star sharpshooter has produced 27.9 points per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field and 39 percent from beyond the arc.
Along with his scoring, Curry has averaged 3.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. When on the court this season, Curry’s Warriors have achieved a record of 9-7. His absence will be critical moving forward, but the Warriors aren’t going put Curry’s long-term health at risk. Being so early in the season, the Warriors will be wise to play the long game and give the seasoned veteran enough time to get back to one hundred percent.
