Kerry Katona is famously besties with Katie Price, but that doesn’t mean she’s abandoned her chart-topping friend Peter Andre.

Navigating a friendship with your best mate’s ex-husband as they clash over the raising of their children isn’t for the faint-hearted.

But nobody has ever called Kerry’s personal life easy.

In case you somehow missed it, Katie and Peter met and fell in love on I’m A Celebrity way back in 2004, tying the knot in a publicly broadcast ceremony the next year.

After four years together and two children, the pair called it quits and have had a frosty relationship ever since, with Peter remarrying in 2015.

Kerry, 45, spotted his wife, Emily MacDonagh, at the Beauty Awards recently and decided to go over and say hi — despite what Katie might think.

Writing in her New! Magazine column, the former Atomic Kitten wrote: ‘I saw Emily at the Beauty Awards too. My daughter Heidi stayed at Pete and Emily’s last week, so from one mum to another, I went and introduced myself.’

Heidi, 18, is a long-time friend of Princess Andre, also 18, having known each other since infancy due to their mum’s close bond.

‘I’ve never met Emily before, but we sat down and chatted away – what a lovely girl she is,’ Kerry continued.

‘I’m a very fair person, and Katie knows this. I was texting Pete the other week and let Katie know.’

Both Princess and Junior, 20, live mainly with their dad, with alleged family tensions bubbling over earlier this year when Princess was forced to address rumours of a feud between herself and her mum.

The teen defiantly told The Daily Mail: ‘There’s no rift between me and either of my parents.’

Pricey, 47, does tend to throw the occasional shady comment towards her ex, including spilling details during her recent tour with Kerry.

While discussing how Kerry actually brought them together during a show, the former Glamour model revealed: ‘Well, he had a manager. When I came out, because I wanted to be with Pete and Pete wanted to be with me, I needed to be careful how I word things now…’

‘I’ll say it!’ Kerry to cut in before Katie continued: ‘[Peter’s manager] ended up managing me and Pete and… There were three of us in the marriage.’

More recently, they clashed over Princess’ TV series, with Katie claiming that she wasn’t allowed to appear in the series because she is considered ‘trash’.

Peter then shared a lengthy statement on his Instagram page, saying his silence ‘ends today.’

While it seemed the tensions would explode into a full-blown spat, Katie’s reps responded and said she was ‘at peace’ with the situation.

In her column, Kerry added: ‘I haven’t got beef with these people but Katie’s always going to be my girl and I’m always going to have her back.’
