Chris Murray is turning the page to basketball season and has his rankings up. Utah State is the top team, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Then Colorado State and a surprising Wyoming team are in front of struggling San Diego State. Boise State and New Mexico are in the middle of the pack, with Nevada and new member Grand Canyon behind them. Rounding out the bottom of the list is Fresno State and then the under .500 teams of UNLV, San Jose State, and Air Force.

With the regular season over, Athlon has made some changes to its bowl projections. Boise State is now placed in the LA Bowl, with Utah State entering the picture in the Potato Bowl. Hawaii is still in the Hawaii Bowl, and San Diego State moves to the First Responder Bowl. Fresno State and New Mexico stay in the Arizona and New Mexico Bowls, respectively. Then, UNLV is slotted for the Texas Bowl. It would make sense that the Broncos and Rebels’ spots are subject to change, based on the outcome of the MW championship game.
