Barcelona star Dani Olmo has taken to social media, to provide his response to the news of his latest incoming spell on the sidelines.

Midfielder Olmo was for his part dealt a fresh blow on the fitness front on Tuesday evening.

En route to Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Atlético Madrid, the 27-year-old netted his side’s go-ahead goal during the 2nd-half.

In the process, however, Olmo picked up a shoulder injury, the extent of which was announced by the Blaugrana on Wednesday:

‘The first team player Dani Olmo suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the game on Tuesday against Atlético Madrid. After tests, it has been decided to follow a conservative course of treatment. Recovery time is approximately one month.’

Olmo’s setback could not come at a worse time for the former RB Leipzig man, who had just begun to find his best form after a difficult opening to the campaign.

Olmo has since assured, though, that he will not allow the blow to ‘stop’ his recent progress.

In a post on his official Instagram account this afternoon, the Spanish international explained:

‘It ain’t gonna stop me. Thank you for your support, Culers. It’s a small setback that will make me even stronger. Excitement remain intact. We are all together in this last stretch of the year. Força Barça.’
