PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George was able to play in his sixth game of the season in Tuesday's win over the Washington Wizards. In 18 minutes, George had 11 points on 4-for-10 shooting, 3-for-5 from deep, and had five rebounds and a steal.
George has been able to play in three games in a row which is a good sign for him as he continues to work his way back from a variety of injuries that held him back in the 2024-25 season. He is continuing to work his way back to the player everybody knows he can be as he is using these games as sort of a "training camp" to get himself up to speed.

I just feel like my legs aren't as strong as they need to be. Just get them under me a little bit. I kind of feel the training camp legs a little bit. This is my training camp, the first couple games, just getting my legs and everything under me, but, yeah, I don't know. I’m a little fatigued for some reason."
Fatigue makes sense for George at this moment in time. The 9-time All-Star is dealing with a lot and he is trying to work his way back into being a helpful contributor on a title contender. He just needs the game reps.
"Yeah, it’s just reps," George said confidently. "It's just reps. It’s taking advantage of off days and getting these games under my belt."
Everybody knows how good George can be. He was an All-Star in 2024 in his final season with the Los Angeles Clippers so it isn't like he can't play that well again. It's just about making sure gets healthy because he can make an impact for the Sixers in a positive way which helps him and the team get what they want.

On game days, getting into a rhythm, getting into a flow, finding what my game day regimen is here, and then, at that point, just letting everything just kind of take care of itself. For me, it's just happy that I'm able to string games together right now. After the rough season last year, being hurt, being injured, it feels good to be healthy and being able to play consistently now. So, that's the main concern for me. Everything else, I think will take care of itself."
The Sixers have a back-to-back starting on Thursday so it will be interesting to see what happens when it comes to George's availability for those games.
