Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made major waves on Sunday, with comments strongly suggesting that pass-catchers weren’t showing up for film sessions and not running the right routes.

On Tuesday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin inexplicably received no questions about Rodgers's remarks. With Wednesday comes the weekly open locker room, and quotes will be emerging.

Here's one, from Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth. He disputes the clear implication that Rodgers created.

"Everyone shows up and everyone contributes in a positive manner," Freiermuth said, via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. "I think he was just more so talking about being on the same page with signals and stuff. We don't have an issue with guys not showing up."

If everyone shows up, why did Rodgers say it? If everyone shows up, it's not necessary to say.

Whatever the situation was, the word is now out. And anyone who doesn't show up will be failing to do so will risk being called out for it.

Still, if the players are showing up, they may wonder why Rodgers called them out. Hopefully, when Rodgers speaks, he'll provide sufficient clarity on a situation he created by saying what he said.
