'With You, Our Love Will Make It Through' (2025)

Episodes 8-12

Mari and Tsunagu drenched after falling into the river Mari and Tsunagu from 'Wtih You, Our Love Will Make it Through' drenched after falling into the river.Image via Crunchyroll

Release Date: October 14 | Streamer: Crunchyroll

Cast: Takuya Eguchi, Manaka Iwami, Koutarou Nishiyama, Ai Kakuma.

A bit of a sleeper hit this season, With You, Or Love Will Make It Through has quietly captured the hearts of viewers with its gentle worldbuilding and slow-burn charm. The story follows Mari, an easy-going and bubbly girl living in Japan, where beastfolk exist alongside humans. Though “alongside” might be a generous way to put it. In reality, beastfolk are confined to a walled town and only allowed to leave once they obtain a special permit granting them limited access to the human world for study or work. Thus, Mari is shocked when, while running late for school one morning, she encounters Tsunagu, a beastman who has unexpectedly become her new classmate.

Although she’s nervous at first, Mari quickly finds herself drawn to Tsunagu’s quiet kindness and sincerity. Her curiosity soon extends beyond him to the beastfolk as a whole, challenging everything she thought she understood about their place in society. As the two grow closer, Mari begins to discover there’s far more to Tsunagu than his furry exterior, uncovering a gentle heart and a longing for connection that mirrors her own. This heartwarming series is perfect for fans of forbidden romance, stories about overcoming prejudice, and, let’s be honest, anyone who appreciates a touch of wholesome furry energy.

'Ranma 1/2' (2024)

Season 2 (Episodes 10-12)

Release date: October 4 | Streamer: Netflix

Cast: Kappei Yamaguchi, Megumi Hayashibara, Noriko Hidaka, Minami Takayama, Ikuko Inoue.

Ranma ½ follows a gifted teenage martial artist named Ranma Saotome, whose life takes a wild turn during a training journey with his dad. After accidentally falling into a cursed Chinese spring, Ranma ends up with an unusual condition: cold water turns him into a girl, while hot water changes him back into a boy. Things only get more complicated when he later learns he’s been arranged to marry Akane Tendo, the strong-willed youngest daughter of his father’s longtime friend.

Although Ranma and Akane both reject the engagement at first, Season 1 explores how their constant bickering gradually softened into moments of genuine understanding and affection. Between martial arts showdowns, determined rival suitors, and a never-ending parade of comedic misunderstandings, the series struck the perfect balance of action, humor, and heart. As Ranma’s adventures continue in Season 2, new rivals appear, old feuds reignite, and his relationship with Akane takes several funny turns. As the second on-screen adaptation of this timeless classic, this version of Ranma ½ builds on the original while bringing a dynamic, colorful look that only modern animation can achieve, making it an absolute must-watch.

'Gachiakuta' (2025)

Episodes 22-24

Release Date: July 6 | Streamer: Crunchyroll

Cast: Aoi Ichikawa, Katsuyuki Konishi, Yumiri Hanamori

One of the standout anime of the year, Gachiakuta is a gritty dystopian saga centered on Rudo, a boy struggling to survive in the slums beneath a floating city inhabited only by the wealthy and powerful. Raised by his foster father, Regto, Rudo has always despised the upper class’s careless excess. He spends his days scavenging for reusable materials destined for the Pit, a massive abyss where all unwanted things, and sometimes even people, are discarded and never seen again.

Everything changes when Rudo returns home one day to find Regto murdered. Wrongfully accused, he’s sentenced to be thrown into the Pit himself. Instead of certain death, he finds a nightmarish wasteland teeming with monstrous trash creatures. To stay alive, Rudo teams up with the Cleaners, a group of skilled fighters tasked with battling these beasts. As he trains and adapts to this brutal new world, a mysterious power begins to awaken within him, but the creatures aren’t the only threats lurking in the depths. A faction known as the Raiders proves to be equally dangerous, constantly disrupting the fragile balance the Cleaners fight to maintain. With the season coming to an end this month, you definitely won’t want to miss the finale.

Peace between the neighboring nations of Ostania and Westalis hangs by a thread, and master spy “Twilight” has spent his entire career working to prevent another catastrophic war in the hopes that no child will experience the horrors of it. His current assignment may be his most complex yet: to infiltrate the elite inner circle of a powerful Ostanian politician. To do that, Twilight must craft the ultimate undercover identity that requires him to become a devoted family man, complete with a wife and child. Assuming the alias Loid Forger, he adopts a six-year-old orphan named Anya and enters into a marriage of convenience with Yor Briar, a seemingly mild-mannered city hall clerk.

What Loid doesn’t know is that Anya is secretly a telepath who can read minds, making her far more aware of their mission than he ever intended. Meanwhile, Yor also hides a dangerous truth, as she’s a highly skilled assassin known as the Thorn Princess, feared among criminals and political enemies alike. Despite their hidden identities and wildly different agendas, the Forgers gradually begin to form something of a home filled with warmth, chaos, and unexpected tenderness. In Season 3 of Spy x Family, we watch this unconventional family grow even closer as they face new threats and challenges.

Soon after, a violent coup d’état erupts.

In its aftermath, Piao returns to Xin on the brink of death, carrying a crucial mission that sends Xin on a collision course with China’s young king, Ying Zheng, who looks uncannily like Piao.
