A thrift-store shopper struck gold in a local charity shop, picking up a designer bag and wallet worth over £600 (about $760) for just a fraction of their retail price.

The Reddit user, u/mimivic12, was browsing a charity shop in Solihull, West Midlands, in the U.K., when they spotted an Aspinal of London Mayfair croc bag and matching wallet. The post of their impressive find quickly racked up more than 3,000 upvotes in the subreddit r/handbags.

"£15 in a charity shop (about $19) for both. did I hit a mini jackpot?’" the poster asked. "Brand new with wrapping, the shop were completely unaware of the value and that they are brand new unused," they wrote.

In the comments, the poster explained that the Mayfair croc bag currently retails for around $760 (converted from U.K. currency) and that they weren’t sure of the wallet’s exact value.

The poster said they "ran to the shelf and held onto it for dear life" as soon as they spotted it.

After taking the items to Aspinal’s flagship store, staff confirmed the goods were 100 percent real and even provided written proof.

The poster also wondered why anyone would donate the items brand-new, adding that "maybe the person donating it asked for it to be kept at a low price."

Aspinal of London is known for its luxury handcrafted leather goods, particularly the Mayfair bag—a structured, top-handle design frequently carried by celebrities and often seen on red carpets. The Mayfair in croc-embossed leather typically costs around £600 to £750 (approximately $760 to $950), while Aspinal wallets in the same style often retail between £150 and £200 (roughly $190 to $250).

Reddit users were quick to celebrate the incredible discovery. "WHHHAAAT!! GIRL!!!! So jelly of you rn [right now]. Enjoy!!" shared one user.

"Wow that is such a score! Congratulations! One of my favorite brands and the Mayfair is such a classic bag from them!" added another commenter.
