The G League's OKC Blue couldn't muster enough buckets to keep up in their 113-101 loss to the Osceola Magic on Thursday. The home defeated dropped their record to 4-7 on the season.

Things didn't go well from the jump. The Blue fell behind early as they were in a 31-25 hole after the first quarter. The deficit grew in the second frame with just points. They entered halftime behind, 65-47, to the Magic.

Out of the break, the Blue were much sharper. A 15-2 run out of the gate turned this from a potential blowout to a single-digit contest. OKC scored 30 points in the third frame to make things interesting. Osceola's lead dwindled to just 85-77 after the third quarter.

The Blue couldn't get closer than a single-digit deficit the rest of the way. They only scored 24 points in the final frame. It wasn't enough to claw back from a 22-point deficit.

The Blue shot 39% from the field and went 13-of-37 (35.1%) from 3. They shot 12-of-16 on free throws. They had 22 assists on 32 baskets. Five Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Magic shot 43% from the field and went 16-of-44 (36.4%) from 3. They shot 13-of-19 on free throws. They had 22 assists on 37 baskets. Five Magic players scored double-digit points.

  • Brooks Barnhizer: 23 points on 7-of-17 shooting, 1-of-3 from 3, five rebounds

  • Chris Youngblood: 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting, 4-of-11 from 3, eight rebounds, three assists

  • Anthony Pritchard: 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, eight assists, seven rebounds

  • Malevy Leons: nine points on 3-of-7 shooting, 3-of-4 from 3, 11 rebounds, two assists

  • Orlando Robinson: 23 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 6-of-8 on free throws, nine rebounds, two assists

  • Lester Quinones: 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, 3-of-6 from 3, seven rebounds, three assists

  • Javonte Smart: 18 points on 4-of-12 shooting, 4-of-9 from 3, four rebounds, three assists

  • Phillip Wheeler: 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting, 2-of-4 from 3, two rebounds
