By Fernando Quiles JrShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberA new WWE champion was crowned on Saturday. During the "NXT Deadline 2025" PLE, Oba Femi challenged Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship. Femi reclaimed the gold with Fall From Grace to become a two-time NXT Champion.
Femi's win has big implications for "Saturday Night's Main Event," which will take place on Dec. 13. The newly minted NXT titleholder will now meet Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes inside Capital One Arena in Washington. The match will be held on the same night as John Cena's retirement.

Oba Femi Rules NXT Again
Femi's first run with the NXT Championship began at "New Year's Evil" back in January. He defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a triple threat match to capture the title. Femi's reign lasted over 260 days before he suffered an upset loss to Saints at "No Mercy" back in September.
Saints' NXT Championship run ends at 70 days. Many expected Saints to be the one to face Rhodes at "Saturday Night's Main Event" given the two have a close friendship and it's an easy story for WWE to tell. Many professional wrestling experts were also under the belief that Femi should be called up to the main roster soon.
At this time, there's no word on how Femi's recent NXT title win will impact the timing of his main roster call-up. It was recently reported that WWE is planning a big main roster shift that will see several "NXT" stars promoted to the "Monday Night Raw" and "Friday Night SmackDown" brands.
