Lions All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph is poised to miss his sixth straight game with a nagging knee injury. Detroit head coach Dan Campbell effectively ruled Joseph out of the Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers.
"I don't see Kerby (playing) this week," Campbell stated before Tuesday's walkthrough practice session.

While it has not needed surgery and hasn't forced the team to place Joseph on injured reserve, the absence at the back end of the defense is quite tangible. Joseph led the NFL with nine interceptions a year ago. This season, Detroit has nine total--including three from Joseph in the first six games.
"He's rehabbing, he's putting in the work," Campbell said of Joseph, noting his positive mindset to get back onto the field. He knows that the work he's putting in now will hopefully keep us from having to play this ― ride this wave up and down of, 'okay he's back, now he's not able to go'. That's kind of what all this is about."
The official injury status report comes out after Wednesday's practice.
