Nov. 25—After serving as focal point for the Lodi High offense and a target for opposing defenses this season, senior Harlan Woodard has been named the Co-MVP of the Tri-City Athletic League's girls water polo All-League team.

Woodard, a senior, was one of two Lodi players to play all 24 games, along with Margaret Graham. She finished with 108 goals and added 13 assists and 23 steals. Playing the 2-meter position, also known as the center or hole set, she set up for most offensive possessions directly in front of the goal, where she was subject to the full attention of opposing defenses whenever she was passed the ball.

Woodard shared the MVP award with St. Mary's junior Reyna Biedermann. Bidermann's Rams went 6-0 in the TCAL standings, then went 2-0 to win the league tournament, beating Lodi in the championship.

Goalie of the Year went to Lincoln junior Evie Schipper.

Two Lodi players were named first-team All-TCAL in 2-meter defender Graham and defensive specialist Taitam Brown.

Graham played all 24 games, and piled up 48 goals, 48 assists and 69 steals. She was often the catalyst for Woodard's offense. Brown finished with 19 goals, 26 assists and 11 steals.

The rest of the first team included Emery Biedermann, Katherine O'Connor and Denali Elliott from St. Mary's, Delaney Herren from Tracy, Brandi Greene from Bear Creek and Courtney O'Neill from Kimball.
