Among the countless trade rumors within the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets' Michael Porter Jr. has emerged as a potential suitor for teams.

Porter Jr., 27, has been with the Nets after getting traded from the Denver Nuggets during this past offseason. The Nuggets' reason behind the deal was to shed the two years remaining on the five-year, $179.2 million deal he signed with the team.

Through 30 games with his new team, Porter Jr. has become the first option for the Nets. This has resulted in him averaging 25.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists a game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from three.

Warriors unsure about Michael Porter Jr. trade because of draft capital

NBC Sports' Dalton Johnson reported on the situation, saying that the Golden State Warriors are a team that's been interested in Michael Porter Jr., but the team is "cautious with their future draft picks."

This has led to any form of a deal being left with uncertainty.

Another factor that could be used in a possible trade between the two teams is Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga.

Kuminga, 23, becomes trade eligible on Thursday and is viewed as an asset that will likely be traded before the NBA's Feb. 5 trade deadline, says Hoops Wire's Sam Amico. He has a two-year, $48.5 million contract linked to him that has a player option in the second year.

It's truly up to the Warriors to make a decision. The Nets are going through another struggling season at 11-26, so it will be interesting to see if they are willing to swallow a deal that is scarce in terms of draft capital.
