Wake up Samurai! There's a new cyberpunk-inspired game coming to town, and it's starting to look a lot like one to watch out for. Neo Berlin 2087, coming to Steam and current-gen consoles, promises a neo-noir detective action thriller dripping with atmosphere. A bleak yet beautiful descent into cyberpunk chaos, and it's coming this year.
Neo Berlin 2087 Is One For Cyberpunk Fans
No idea when it's releasing, though
A quick glance at the gameplay trailer from Elysium Game Studio, and it's clear that this cyberpunk thriller is visually stunning and packed with detail. From the neon-drenched futuristic skyscrapers, to the rain-soaked slums, Neo Berlin 2087 as a location looks fully realized and achingly gorgeous. A class divide sees the wealthy living in luxury while the poor riot in the streets below.
The game promises a story rich narrative that relies on player choice and sees our troubled detective, Nolan, searching for truth among shadows. His mission? To protect the police chief's daughter Natalie and uncover the mystery of who really controls the city behind the curtain. It's a plot that could have been ripped from any of the best cyberpunk TV shows out there.
Neo Berlin 2087 teases a story that is heavy on moral decisions and emotional stakes. With each clue, Nolan uncovers, leading him further down into the spiraling chaos of corruption, perhaps at the cost of his own sanity. The action looks cinematic with a blend of first person and third person action all seamlessly playing out in what could be one of 2026's most ambitious titles.
It Looks Absolutely Incredible
Graphics aren't everything, but... c'mon

The first thing that impresses about Neo Berlin 2087 is the gorgeous visuals. This looks like a stunning next-gen cinematic game, although with an expected release date this year, it's clearly making the most of current-gen hardware. From the rain particle effects, the flashes of muzzles during gun fire, and even the dramatic slow-mo diving gun play mechanics made famous by Max Payne, every pixel on screen looks fresh and alive.
Neo Berlin 2087's perfect setting looks like a mix of sprawling glass towers and neon-lit slums. There seems to be a chasm of difference between the elite mansions of the wealthy and the wastelands where the poor live in caves, hiding away from corrupt machines. It's building itself up to be a world of unbalance, where the wealthy rule over the city and justice is a commodity that only the rich can afford.

But with a studio comprised of seasoned Triple-A gaming veterans and a gameplay trailer that blows all the competition away, 2026 is looking like a great year for fans of cyberpunk thrillers!
