By Jenn McGrawShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberFollowing an altercation with San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings, Carolina Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehrig was suspended for one game without pay. This comes after his unsportsmanlike conduct during Monday night's game against the 49ers. The suspension will cost him about $65,000, according to Tom Pelissero.
Moehrig gave Jennings a low blow after the game ended on Monday. As there are two sides to every story, Moehrig shared his thoughts on the incident. He explained that nothing about his game was "dirty" and that he was provoked.
"He wanted to do some stuff after the play, talking crazy," Moehrig claimed about Jennings.

In the fourth quarter of the 49ers' win over Carolina, Moehrig punched Jennings in the groin at the end of a play with less than three minutes left of the game. Right after the game, Jennings slapped Moehrig at midfield before both guys had to be separated by their teammates.
"Man, TV (is) going to tell you what happened, man," Jennings said. "I was just responding to me some childish behavior. That's all it was."
Though it's unclear what Jennings said that sparked the altercation, both players could expect to be fined for the incident. Moehrig also has the right to appeal the suspension, but if it fails, he will be out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Panthers take on the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. ET while the 49ers will face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
