Minnesota Vikings continue to be mocked a cornerback in 2026 NFL Draft

The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city where the Bucs found success this preseason with a last-second field goal to defeat the Steelers. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft.

CBS Sports' Blake Brockermeyer recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle. Within it, the Vikings were attached to star defender Mansoor Delane. The Virginia Tech transfer came to LSU and became one of the best defenders in the country as a result.

Brockermeyer explains the pick, writing, "Delane has returned to his 2023 form and has been an eraser in coverage. He shows excellent change of direction and competitiveness at the catch point and should transition well to the next level."

Byron Murphy Jr. needs a running mate besides Isaiah Rodgers. This secondary gets lambasted each week, and it has to come to an end at some point. Adding Delane to the mix would do that and more for this talented defense.
