Olympiacos vs. Real Madrid match details
Amidst a three-match winless run, Real Madrid hope to turn around their suddenly poor form in European play as they visit Greek giants Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA humbling 1-0 on the road against Liverpool last time out in the Champions League has bled into domestic action, with consecutive draws against Elche and Rayo Vallecano allowing Barcelona back into the La Liga title race.
Despite this, Real Madrid remain in the hunt for a knockout stage bye, sitting ninth with nine points through four games coming into this match, knowing any kind of result would see them finish the match week holding a top eight position.
Olympiacos, meanwhile, are just hoping for any kind of positive momentum in European play, as they sit below the cut line with just two points at the midway mark.

Alonso has rotated his side heavily for this road Champions League visit to Athens. Amongst the top players given the match off include Jude Bellingham and Thibaut Courtois, who have both been replaced in the XI and settle for a spot on the bench.
As David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger are still missing with injuries, and Eder Militao returned from Brazil duty with an adductor problem, Alvaro Carras moves to the middle of the defensive line with Ferland Mendy deployed at left-back.
