Despite Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin's "great optimism" about Aaron Rodgers being available versus the Buffalo Bills, the 41-year-old quarterback was notably absent from practice to start the week.
On Wednesday, Rodgers was held out of practice, leaving Mason Rudolph and Will Howard taking the brunt of the reps. When asked if he'd feel comfortable taking a snap under center, Rodgers revealed the troubling limitations of his wrist fracture.

In Rodgers' absence, Rudolph had a rough outing against the Chicago Bears in Week 12 — throwing for 171 yards and one touchdown, and was responsible for two costly turnovers in the loss.
It remains to be seen if Rodgers can upgrade to a full participant in practice later in the week, but Pittsburgh undoubtedly needs the four-time MVP back in the lineup for a must-win matchup in Week 13.
