Liverpool lose for ninth time in last 12 games as they are hammered at home by PSV Eindhoven

Liverpool suffered yet another defeat as they were beaten 4-1 at home by PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

The loss is Liverpool’s ninth in the last 12 games and sees them drop to 12th in the Champions League standings.

Arne Slot’s side went behind early on when Ivan Perisic scored from the penalty spot after Virgil van Dijk had handled the ball.

The home side levelled through Dominik Szoboszlai ten minutes later but failed to take their chances and were punished in the second half, Guus Til first putting his side ahead before a double from substitute Couhaib Driouech.

To make matters worse, Slot has also been handed another injury worry, with Hugo Ekitike forced off in the second half through injury.
