I use the Anker Prime Wireless Charger every day. It’s excellent, and the Amazon Black Friday deal price has prompted me to recommend it.

However, there are a few things about it that need to be cleared up, so you know exactly what to expect.

What makes it special?

The Anker Prime Wireless Charger

The charging station can charge three devices at the same time. A phone on its main arm, a smartwatch on its second arm, and a pair of wireless earbuds on the base.

There’s a small 1.65-inch touchscreen showing charging data, temperatures, and power below the wireless charging pad, plus it connects to an app on your phone so you can easily change modes.

The primary charger has a built-in cooling fan and can also be set at different angles depending on your use. Although, why you’d want it flat and facing up towards the ceiling, I’m not sure.

It’s well-made, sturdy, and weighty enough that the station never moves around on a table, which is also aided by sticky support pads on the base.

It looks modern too, and because everything is charged wirelessly, it’s a far neater solution for charging multiple devices at the same time rather than using cables.

What devices does it charge?

Apple devices on the Anker Prime Wireless Charger

The Anker Prime Wireless Charger is MagSafe compatible. It wirelessly charges most modern Apple iPhone models, most Apple Watch models, and Apple AirPods with wireless charging.

However, we need to clear up how it works with Android devices.

The charger is Qi2 certified, meaning it’s capable of delivering up to 25W wirelessly to compatible devices.

This should mean it’s good for at least some Android devices, right? Well, according to Anker’s FAQ on Amazon’s page, it’s not recommended for Android devices.

Except, in my experience, it works fine provided you have the right Android device, and the FAQ on Anker’s website backs this up. It states all Qi2.2 devices will charge at 25W, while standard Qi2 devices will make do with 15W.

I’ve used it to charge the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, which is a Qi2 compatible phone, and it works without a problem.

It’s not the fastest way to charge the phone, but it doesn’t matter when I mostly charge it overnight.

I’ve also used it to charge a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra wrapped up in a Casetify case with MagSafe-style magnets inside. While the S24 Ultra isn’t Qi2-ready, it still accepts a charge.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is Qi2-ready with a suitable case. It also happily charged the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

The text on the Amazon page is likely outdated, and going to the source provides the true information.

The only thing it doesn’t charge is any smartwatch apart from the Apple Watch. The magnets inside the dedicated arm do not work with the Pixel Watch 4 or the Galaxy Watch 8. This is the biggest downside for non-Apple device owners.

A killer feature

The Anker Prime Wireless Charger's app

One of the main reasons I really like the Anker Prime Wireless Charger is its clever Sleep Mode. There’s a fan on the back of the main charging arm, and it’s pretty noisy when it’s spinning. I would find it unusable at night without Sleep Mode.

Sleep Mode disables the fan and adjusts charging speeds, then makes sure the small display doesn’t stay on, making it ideal for use in the bedroom.

It happens automatically too, unless you override the setting when putting a device on charge.

There are two other modes:

  • Ice Mode actively cools the phone while charging, and is great for when the phone is in use while on charge, such as in video calls.
  • Boost Mode uses its cooling to enable the highest speed charging. Each can be set on the charger’s screen or in the app.

Finally, the charging station doesn’t make any other sound. I’ve used charging docks which have a distinct “hum” when plugged in, and it’s annoying to those who are sensitive to sound. The Anker Prime Wireless Charger is entirely silent.

Is it worth buying?

The Anker Prime Wireless Charger is brilliant in a multi-device household. It’ll charge most Apple smartphones and the Qi2 Pixel 10 series, and seems to work with phones fitted with MagSafe-equipped cases.

Charging speeds will vary, and Anker clearly states this in its FAQ, but wireless charging is often more about convenience than it is outright speed.

It’s a trade-off that hasn’t bothered me over the last months, during which time I switched from the Apple iPhone 17 Pro to the iPhone Air, and spent time with the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Galaxy S24 Ultra too.

If you’re tempted, now is a great time to buy. In Amazon’s Black Friday sale, the Anker Prime Wireless Charger is down 35% from $230 to $150, making it a strong value if you can see how it would fit into your life.

The Anker Prime Wireless Charger will charge three devices at the same time, but only if you use Apple devices. For Android, the only feature that doesn't work is the smartwatch charger. Other features include Qi2 charging and app support.
