Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football
Happy Thanksgiving, Mizzou fans! Despite what has been somewhat of a “down” season for Missouri — there’s still plenty of reasons to be thankful for around this program under head coach Eli Drinkwitz.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe SEC’s leading rusher Ahmad Hardy is certainly one of those reasons. To no one’s surprise, he was announced as a finalist for the Doak Walker Award.
Hardy joins Ole Miss’ Kewan Lacy and Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love. So, that’s a current Mizzou Tiger, a former Mizzou Tiger, and a St. Louis native up for the Doak Walker. Pretty cool, right?
Even cooler — Mizzou has had three Doak Walker finalists in five years as Hardy joins Cody Schrader and Tyler Badie.
Matthew Gustafson will have more later on Ahmad Hardy here on Rock M. And looking ahead to Mizzou’s regular season finale at Arkansas on Saturday — here’s the Wednesday night injury report.

A Drinkwitz contract extension would be huge news for the Mizzou Football program.
The Disrespectful Bryce Index from Josh Matejka: An Oklahoma Special
So instead of a Disrespectful Play Index this week, we’re cooking up an Oklahoma Sooner special. And we’re going to rank the disrespectful Bryce’s I saw in the stands on Saturday.

Hoopin’ and Hollerin from Dylan Heinrich: Ballin on Break
After beating Washington State to open the week in Orlando, Mizzou women’s basketball returns to Florida for two games at the Fort Myers Tip-Off against Bradley and Northwestern.
Dylan has a preview of the Fort Myers Tip-off with Mizzou WBB off to a 5-2 start.
From Josh Matejka: Would Mizzou and Kirby Moore benefit from a separation?
But sometimes, despite the shared successes two parties may have, there comes a time when a mutual separation might be best for everyone. And now might be that time for Mizzou and Moore.
Kirby Moore has done some good things at Mizzou, but with the offense struggling this season it might be time for a change.
A Second Look: Mizzou Gym intrasquad
Overall, it was another successful weekend for the Tigers heading into the break and a final tune up in front of a crowd leading into the Black & Gold meet on December 12.
Karen has another gymnastics update as the regular season inches closer.
Study Hall from Sam Snelling: Mizzou 98, South Carolina State 66
So one more of these before we see another high major.
Mizzou is 7-0. We’ll know much more about this team next week.
Over at Rock M+: Matthew Harris has the lookahead to Mizzou Hoops’ Black Friday afternoon game vs Cleveland State.
