The Oklahoma State Cowboys claimed the No. 7 spot in the 2026 class rankings, according to ESPN. This marks strong early momentum under head coach Steve Lutz.

Power forward Latrell Allmond (No. 36), wing shooter Jalen Montonati (No. 44) and Overtime Elite guard Parker Robinson (No. 96). Allmond offers front-court physicality, rebounding and emerging face-up skills. Montonati remains in-state and provides immediate shooting and movement without the ball. Robinson brings versatility and a high-level offensive game. The trio combines to fill core needs for the Cowboys’ roster.
Oklahoma State’s recruiting approach reflects Lutz’s blueprint of trying to retain homegrown talent. The building through high school ranks rather than relying solely on the transfer portal is also notable. For fans in Stillwater, the class renews hope that the program is entering a sustained uptick. At least they're in much better shape than the football program, which is one of the worst in the nation.
If this class develops as expected, Oklahoma State could contend in the Big 12’s deep pack. The challenge remains of translating promise into wins, but the foundation appears in place for a possible conference run.
