The 49ers and Browns will play a window, likely low scoring game today. That’s an advantage for the Niners.

The San Francisco 49ers will look to extend their winning streak to three games for the third time this season. They are on the road against the Cleveland Browns in what appears to be one of the more windy games in the NFL this season.

For all the talk about how Brock Purdy will look and has looked in cold-weather, rainy games, the other team has to deal with the elements, too. Shedeur Sanders, making his second career start, has not played well. Two passes make up the majority of his passing yards this season.

If anything, the inclement weather should affect the rookie far more than it would Purdy. After all, the same rookie has a propensity to hold onto the ball and take sacks, and doesn’t have great field vision. This plays into Robert Saleh’s hands.

Stop the run, make Shedeur throw. Take care of the ball and capitalize on your red zone opportunities. It’s a simple formula for the 49ers today.
