That is, until Chuba Hubbard took some shine back on Sunday in Week 13 in a big game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Hubbard had an early catch-and-run touchdown from Bryce Young, and he kept getting a lot of action.

It was more work than he'd had in about a month.

Why is Chuba Hubbard outplaying Rico Dowdle?

It's not exactly clear what is happening.

The Panthers have used Dowdle some, too, including on a crucial fourth-down run. So there is no injury here.

The Panthers must be doing some kind of riding the hot hand here. Hubbard hasn't really been the hot hand all season.

But on this day, Hubbard looks great, and Carolina has stuck with him.
