VfL Wolfsburg dropped two points after Eintracht Frankfurt’s injury-time penalty-kick. Substitute Denis Vavro was penalized for a challenge on Arthur Theate, but his coach was rather annoyed by the refereeing decision.
“We've seen the penalty scene four, five times. It hurts that the VAR decides that way,” said the interim coach in his post-match interview. “There are always tight situations. Whistling penalties in this situation is a bit tough. If that’s the case, he has to whistle ten times after a corner per game.”

We knew that a tense atmosphere would await us. They threw everything forward in the end, but we reacted well to that. It was an exciting Bundesliga game.”
Bauer will aim for his first win in his second spell as Wolfsburg's interim coach when they host Union Berlin next Saturday.
