After the second play of the game, Indianapolis Colts' cornerback Sauce Gardner left with what was called a calf injury by the team.
He did not return after being helped to the locker room.
A short while later, the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Gardner was dealing with a calf strain and not a major injury, such as an Achilles issue.

"I think it's like a strain," Gardner said. "I feel like I got shot in the calf or something, but it was like high. So I wasn't thinking the worst."
When asked specifically if it is an Achilles injury, Gardner said, “I don’t think that’s what it is."
Gardner will undergo further tests on his calf.
Joel Erickson of the Indy Star saw Gardner exiting the locker room on crutches, but he was putting weight on his leg.
In Gardner's first two games with the Colts, he has allowed five receptions on 10 targets for 38 yards with two pass breakups. He's also made 12 tackles.

The Colts dropped Sunday's game to the Houston Texans. This is now the team's third loss in their last four games.
The lead that the Colts had built up in the AFC South division race has very quickly evaporated.
"Just wishing I could be out there," Gardner said.
