The Big Ten had three games on Saturday. All three were relative snoozers against overmatched opponents, with the league scoring three victories.
Let’s take a look at what happened.
Game of the Night:–Nebraska Cornhuskers 72, South Carolina Upstate Spartans 63
The Huskers took care of business in this one, though things ended up being closer than fans would have liked. Most of that resulted from a slow start, wherein Nebraska trailed for quite some time. However, the Huskers gradually took care of business and got a nine-point win. Pryce Sandfort led the way with 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Rienk Mast also had 15 points.

That run will be put on the line on December 7th, when Nebraska hosts rival Creighton. KenPom favors the Huskers, but it’s expected to be competitive. We’ll see if Fred Hoiberg and his staff can find a way to get the job done.
The Rest:–No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers 100, Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 56
This was a complete blowout, with Indiana scoring nearly a 50-point win at home. Tucker DeVries led the way with 20 points, five assists, and three rebounds. Lamar Wilkerson also had a nice showing with 18 points. The win pushed Indiana to 7-0 on the season. The Hoosiers will now prepare for Minnesota on the road to open Big Ten play on Wednesday.

This projected as the “best” game of the day on paper, but Penn State made it a boring one in short order, jumping out to a significant first half lead. Kayden Mingo led the way with 13 points, five assists, and three rebounds. Ivan Juric also had 14 points and nine rebounds. The win pushed Penn State to 7-1 overall. The team will now prepare for Campbell at home on Tuesday.
