Following the move to part ways with Jonathan Smith, a lot of moving parts are starting to take their form within the Spartans 2026 recruiting class. While some are making the decision to reopen their options, others are reaffirming their commitments and another Spartan commit made it known that he still has intentions to sign with the Spartans.

Joey Caudill, a 6-foot-5 and 215 pound tight end from Mansfield (OH), announced that he is going to stick with MSU despite any coaching changes. Massive news for the MSU program, considering he is a 4-star prospect, ranking as the No. 235 overall player, No. 27 TE and No. 24 player in Ohio, according to Rivals.

A top tier talent, from inside the region, will be a massive addition to the Spartans program in 2026, and will provide a huge boost to a new coaching staff.

He was the first commit the Spartans landed in the 2026 recruiting class, and he is seeing it through to signing day.
