German defender Antonio Rüdiger is currently navigating a period filled with uncertainty at Real Madrid, as speculation regarding his future intensifies, particularly about a potential departure at the end of the season.

Having been sidelined for an extended spell due to a tendon injury that required surgery, Rüdiger had not featured in competitive action since August 24. He finally made his comeback this Sunday, returning to Xabi Alonso’s starting XI against Girona.

However, debate has intensified following Rüdiger’s recent comments about players opting to join the Saudi league. The defender notably defended his former teammate N’Golo Kanté’s decision to join Al-Ittihad, speaking out with conviction.

He remarked: “He recently returned to the French national team. The fact that a player moves to Saudi Arabia doesn’t mean he’ll become any less of a player than in Europe!”
