The G League's OKC Blue couldn't salvage their two-game trip with a 110-96 loss to the Austin Spurs on Sunday. The road defeat dropped OKC's record to 4-6 on the season.

Early on, the Blue had an awesome start. It felt like they'd salvage a quick trip down to Texas. They had a 30-25 lead after the first quarter. But then the Spurs answered right back. They scored 35 points in the second frame as OKC fell behind on the scoreboard.

Austin went on a 22-4 run to regain momentum. The Blue entered halftime in a 60-51 deficit. That only grew in the second half. Within two points, Austin went on a 24-4 run to put this one away. OKC only scored 18 points in the third frame. After the quarter, they were in a 91-72 hole.

Things weren't pretty. The Blue couldn't make the fourth quarter interesting. They scored 22 points in the final frame in a game where they trailed by as many as 22 points. The Spurs were the better team in both of these weekend matchups.

The Blue shot 40% from the field and went 7-of-31 (22.6%) from 3. They shot 11-of-12 on free throws. They had 11 assists on 34 baskets. Four Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Spurs shot 52% from the field and went 16-of-37 (43.2%) from 3. They shot 9-of-11 on free throws. They had 18 assists on 39 baskets. Five Spurs players scored double-digit points.

  • Brooks Barnhizer: 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting, 5-of-6 on free throws, four rebounds, one assist

  • Viktor Lakhin: 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting, 4-of-9 from 3, five rebounds, two blocks

  • Jazian Gortman: 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting, six assists, five rebounds

  • Dariq Whitehead: 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting, 3-of-8 from 3, three rebounds

  • Jayden Nunn: 32 points on 12-of-15 shooting, 6-of-7 from 3, seven rebounds, four assists

  • Riley Minix: 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting, 3-of-7 from 3, nine rebounds, two steals

  • Stanley Umude: 14 points on 3-of-11 shooting, 2-of-8 from 3, 11 rebounds

  • Micah Potter: 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting, nine rebounds, three assists
