Whether it was blown coverage, a missed assignment, penalty miscues or otherwise, the Wolverines simply had no answers for the unbeaten, No. 1-ranked Buckeyes. Moore said he quickly realized the game was slipping away, yet admitted when speaking to reporters following the defeat that he was simply thin on answers for why.

“It stings, everybody stings," Moore said. "You sting for the seniors, you sting for the program. When you’re in this 24-7, when you’re in this for 365, this hurts,” Moore said. “You work tirelessly to make this be successful. So it’s not just about me, it’s really about the kids and all the hard work they put in. I’ll put it on me, always put stuff on me. And self-reflect, self-look at and see what we need to fix and see what we need to do. It’s gotta be better.”

Although the loss was 100 percent collective as a team, Moore said the game ultimately came down to coaching. Therefore, Moore said he has to own his role about where the game went sideways.

“We’ll look at the film and see exactly what it is," Moore sais. "But you don’t want this feeling again, 364 days a year. Working to figure out ways to win this game, along with all the other games we’re gonna play,” Moore said. “We got another game we gotta play after this. So we gotta regroup and try to get ten wins. That’ll be huge.”

The Wolverines will attempt to salvage the season, but the unfortunate reality is that they'll have to wait until next year to regain control of "The Game."

If they will is the intriguing unknown, though.
