Following the blowout loss, Heyward revealed that he was kneed by Allen, which ultimately led to multiple altercations between the two on Sunday.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement"Being kneed in my stomach," Heyward told reporters. "And then, just [him and I] jawing back and forth. Ticked off the entire game because, as a quarterback, they're protected but I'm not? Just pisses me off."
Heyward then claimed Allen kneed him on purpose and admitted to doing so.
With less than nine minutes remaining in the third quarter, Allen threw a touchdown pass to WR Keon Coleman, which led to Heyward getting in the Bills quarterback’s face. When G David Edwards attempted to intervene, Heyward tossed him to the side and was subsequently penalized.
It remains to be seen if the NFL will fine either Allen or Heyward for their actions in Week 13, but both parties might be looking to put the ugly situation behind them.
