Boiler Alert Podcast – Time for a Change in the Athletic Department?

I’m always loathe to call for someone to lose their job. No matter what you think of someone’s job performance, they are a human being. They’ve got loved ones, they’ve got friends, they’ve got family. But the sad reality is that sometimes someone has to lose their job. In the case of Purdue football, who have lost their last 18 Big Ten games, something has to change. The question I discuss on this episode of the podcast is what I think should change. I’m going to give you dear reader a chance to decide on this later on today or tomorrow morning in the weekly survey, but I’m very frustrated right now. I had to sit in that press box and watch Purdue get absolutely embarrassed by their rival for the second straight year. We’ve seen our two main rivals reach the CFP for the past two years while we sit twiddling our thumbs hoping for a win. To make matters worse, both of these programs are in the state of Indiana so it’s not like that’s what is holding us back.

So, in this episode I ask at what level should the heads (metaphorically) roll?

Oh, I also discuss Purdue men’s basketball’s beat down of the Eastern Illinois Panthers. So there’s at least some good news in this episode.
