This comes after Sarr suffered an ankle injury during the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. The Senegalese winger was forced off in the 38th minute, after a heavy challenge from Diogo Dalot, and was replaced by Eddie Nketiah.
With this injury, Sarr's participation in AFCON 2025 with Senegal is now in doubt due to significant swelling in his ankle. Glasner, speaking in his post-match press conference, explained that Sarr's ankle would need a more thorough assessment, but it was clear that the winger would miss several games because of the injury.
