The North Carolina Tar Heels are in Lexington on Tuesday night to face off against No. 18 Kentucky in the ACC/SEC Challenge. After losing to Michigan State for their first loss of the season, UNC is looking to rebound and get back in the win column.
It will be a tough test and it will be another game without a key starter in guard Seth Trimble.

"I don't have a definitive answer in regards to when he's going to come back, but he's progressing fast and really well," Davis said via Tar Heel 247. "He's shooting, he's dribbling, he's conditioning. And so it's in a really good spot, and I'm looking forward to when he can get back out there on the floor."
That's good news.
Davis didn't set a timeline but nothing has changed in terms of the original timeline, which is the end of December for Trimble's return. Barring a setback, that appears to be the case.

They are also losing a veteran presence who has played in big games like this one at Kentucky. UNC has a few more tests left in non-conference play but it's unlikely Trimble will be ready for those as well.
