Clemson linebacker Dee Crayton is preparing to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports. The lone window for transfers this year opens Jan. 2 and runs through Jan. 16, and Crayton is expected to make his move once that period begins.
A redshirt sophomore, Crayton has played in 11 games this season and recorded eight tackles, including four at North Carolina. Entering the 2025 campaign, he had been credited with 25 tackles in 19 career games across his first two seasons at Clemson. Most of that production came in 2024, when he posted 20 tackles while working as a co-backup at both the middle and weakside linebacker spots.

His senior year included 75 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions and four forced fumbles, showcasing the playmaking ability that made him a notable addition to Clemson’s 2023 group.
Crayton is now the second Clemson player expected to head to the portal this season, joining cornerback Shelton Lewis, who departed earlier in the year. Even though the official window has not yet opened, several players across college football have already announced similar intentions.
