The Seattle Seahawks are looking to bring back a familiar face, and it appears it is all but official at the moment. On Tuesday morning, two sources broke some news. First off, ESPN's Brady Henderson mentioned the Seahawks are working to sign safety Quandre Diggs to their practice squad. Henderson mentioned nothing was official, but there was another source who certainly makes it seem like it is: Quandre Diggs himself.
Diggs took to Twitter where he shared this post, and to me, it sure looks like he is making his way back to the Emerald City.
Diggs first came to Seattle during the 2019 season where he made an immediate impact following a trade with the Detroit Lions. From there, Diggs became one of the better Seahawk defenders during his four and a half years in the Pacific Northwest. Diggs started all 72 games he was available for in Seattle, where he recorded 345 tackles, 24 interceptions, forced two fumbles and scored on a pick-six.

Diggs started 12 out of 17 games for Tennessee, and was playing well for the lackluster Titans. However, earlier in November he requested his release from the team and received - similar to Tyler Lockett. Now Diggs is returning "home" to the team he easily enjoyed the most success with.
Injuries to both Julian Love and Ty Okada have created an immediate need at safety in Seattle. Diggs may not be 100% the player he was when he was at his peak with the Seahawks, but he is more than good enough to provide starter caliber play while those two get healthy.
