After Iowa football (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) won 20-17 over Michigan State (3-8, 0-8) on Senior Day last Saturday, Hawkeyes' graduate senior quarterback Mark Gronowski reflected upon his favorite Kinnick Stadium moments during his short, but memorable tenure with the program.
Against Michigan State, the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder from Naperville, Ill., led the Hawkeyes down the field on a game-tying touchdown drive that was capped by a 13-yard pass to fellow graduate senior Jacob Gill with 1:29 remaining. Gronowski would later make a spectacular 29-yard pass to sophomore Reece Vander Zee with 24 seconds left, which set the Hawkeyes up in field goal range.

Saturday against Michigan State would certainly be on the short list of Gronowski's greatest Kinnick moments. But, Gronowski listed two others that also stood out from his lone season as the Hawkeyes' starting quarterback inside Kinnick.
"There's been a lot of moments that have been a lot of fun here at Kinnick, and I mean, I can look back at either that the Penn State one... That 67-yard run was a great run there, and we ended up winning that game and having a comeback win there that was a lot of fun, and even that Oregon game. I know we ended up with the loss there, but I think that might have been one of the top three moments of just pure excitement when we scored with a minute left in that game.
"It's just been a lot of fun and I've got to thank all the fans for continuously having support in us," Gronowski said.
On the day, Gronowski completed 12-of-22 passes for 147 yards with one touchdown and one interception, to go along with 57 rushing yards. Fortunately for Iowa, he registered 117 of those yards and the touchdown score in the fourth quarter.
