Moro Ojomo has gone from a seventh-round pick to a key cog in Philadelphia's defense and one of the more efficient and versatile interior defenders in the NFL. The new league year is fast approaching, and just ten days away, there are key dates to know for the next calendar year. The most important date is the early negotiation window. That'll open on March 9, giving teams two days to negotiate before free agency and the new league year kicks off on March 11.
Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis are the big names, but Ojomo is the best pass rusher in the trio, and he's just as important to the Eagles' future success. Looking to put himself in the best position to secure a new deal, Ojomo has switched representation as the new league year approaches, joining the powerful Athletes' First.
The move comes after PFF’s Zach Tantillo labeled Ojomo the Eagles' "Secret Superstar" in 2025.
“Ojomo announced himself on the biggest stage — the Eagles’ Super Bowl win over the Chiefs — and carried that level of play into the 2025 season,” Tantillo wrote. “He ended the year with a higher PFF overall grade than Jalen Carter’s 71.0 and a higher PFF pass-rush grade than Jordan Davis’ 71.1, both first-round picks. That production showed up in the box score, as well, as Ojomo recorded 54 pressures, the second most on the Eagles and the sixth most among all interior defenders. He also notched six sacks, the second most on the team.”
Ojomo's 71.0 PFF grade was the 80th best in the NFL last season, but he's much improved, and Ojomo saw his snap count increase to 60 percent in his third year. He started nine games for the Eagles this season and played in all 17, finishing second on the team in sacks.
