“For good this time! Country roads take me home. 1000% committed!,” said Gordon in an Instagram post announcing his college plans.
Gordon’s decision comes after he stepped away from a long-term commitment with Arkansas following the firing of former coach Sam Pittman. A three-star prospect according to 247Sports, Gordon also received interest from Virginia, Liberty, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Tech, Memphis, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
A 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker, Gordon has tallied 431 total tackles (28 for a loss) and 10 sacks. He also has three interceptions, four forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. He’s racked up more than 100 tackles each of the past two seasons.
