Given how impressive the Los Angeles Lakers have looked for parts throughout the season, and having Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves on the same roster, it almost feels safe to say that the organization will attempt to make the necessary moves around the trade deadline to improve the roster.

It's tough to say what the Lakers need, but adding another center wouldn't be the worst idea. Jaxson Hayes has played decent basketball for some of the year as a backup, so credit has to be given there, but there's also a reason to believe that he might not be the type of player he's shown to be throughout some of the year.

Regardless, if there's one area the Lakers don't plan on adding, it's at the point guard position, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic. He said, to his knowledge, he doesn't believe the Lakers will go that route, given they already have ball handlers with Reaves, Doncic, and James.

"No,” Buha said.

“To my knowledge, no,” Buha added. “You have enough ball handling with Luka, Austin and LeBron. … I think that’s one of the last areas the Lakers really need.”

The Lakers made some impressive additions in the offseason, although some of them definitely had risks attached to them. Marcus Smart, Dendre Ayton, and others were definitely in stranger parts of their careers.

They all have played relatively well for the Lakers, which is another factor why the team has done what it has throughout the season.
