• The Baltimore Orioles and free agent closer Ryan Helsley agreed on a two-year contract, $28 million contract. Helsley could be expected to take closing duties to start 2026 with Felix Bautista set to miss the entire season.

• MLB pitchers are continuing their video game pursuit of higher velocity and spin numbers at the cost of everything else.

• The Phillies are still the frontrunner to sign free agent Kyle Schwarber, but it looks like there’s no progress towards a deal yet.

• According to Curt Hogg at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the Brewers have made no significant progress toward an extension with sensation Jacob Misiorowski.
