The Tigers have not received any votes for a few weeks and a Week 14 loss to Oklahoma didn't help their case.
LSU was once ranked in the top-five, but after a disappointing season that led to the firing of head coach Brian Kelly, LSU is unranked and sits at 7-5.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHowever, there is hope for the Tigers. LSU is set to hire Ole Miss's Lane Kiffin as its next head coach. Kiffin's Rebels have spent most of the year ranked in the top-10 and came in at No. 5 in the latest poll.
Ole Miss capped its regular season with an Egg Bowl win over Mississippi State. The Rebels are 11-1 and a lock for the College Football Playoff, however, Kiffin is unlikely to lead Ole Miss in the CFP as heads to Baton Rouge.
