Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is in the locker room undergoing evaluations after injuring his left hand in the first quarter of the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The team is reporting that Herbert is questionable to return with his injury.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBefore he exited the game, Herbert went 5 of 5 with 39 yards and threw a touchdown to wide receiver Quentin Johnston to take a lead against the Raiders. Herbert also ran the ball twice, racking up four yards total.
With Herbert out, the Chargers are trotting out backup quarterback Trey Lance for further notice while the Chargers figure out what is wrong with their starting signal caller. Lance completed his first pass for nine yards to rookie Tre’ Harris.
The Chargers hold a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter against the Raiders inside SoFi Stadium. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on Paramount Plus.
