The 49ers came up with a strong 26-8 road win at the Cleveland Browns on Sunday from Huntington Bank Field, spoiling Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' first career home start.

San Francisco sustained a few injuries along the way to its road win at Cleveland, though. The 49ers watched linebacker Nick Martin leave with a concussion, left guard Ben Bartch exit with a foot injury and fullback Kyle Juszczyk depart with a rib injury. None of the three returned.

Afterwards, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an encouraging early diagnosis on Juszczyk's injury.

"They didn’t show anything broken here, but we’ll check again tomorrow," Shanahan said.

49ers linebacker Curtis Robinson also briefly exited San Francisco's win at Cleveland, but Robinson returned.

Shanahan was asked if starting quarterback Brock Purdy is beginning to be able to do more in the 49ers' offense after a turf toe injury sidelined him for much of 2025.

"No, the week he came back he was 100 percent and we haven’t been worried about it since with any movements or anything like that. He can do boots and he does those fine. Any time he runs, I mean, he’s doing alright," Shanahan said of Purdy.

Purdy finished his day against the Browns 16-of-29 passing for 168 yards with one touchdown pass to Jauan Jennings. Purdy also ran for a touchdown score.

San Francisco entered Sunday's contest with a list of inactives that included defensive linemen Sam Okuayinonu and Kevin Givens, linebacker Tatum Bethune, wide receiver Jordan Watkins, offensive lineman Connor Colby, running back Jordan James and kicker Eddy Piñeiro.

With a bye week ahead in Week 14, it should be a great chance for all of the dinged-up 49ers to rest and hopefully come back healthy for a stretch run of four games that features home dates against Tennessee, Chicago and Seattle and one road date at Indianapolis.

Asked how he feels to be sitting at 9-4 entering its bye week, coach Shanahan said he's pleased.

"I love where we’re at right now. I believe we’d be in the playoffs today if it started and we’ve got four more games left to make sure we continue that. It’s been a long wait for a bye week. I’ve never had one this late. I don’t know anyone on our team who has. It’s finally here. Mentally and physically, it’ll be awesome to rest and be able to come back from that with four games to play for a chance to get in the playoffs is everything we could’ve asked for," Shanahan said.

The 49ers will come in on Monday for day-after game work and plan to work out on Tuesday. The 49ers' bye week order of operations beyond those two dates is undecided.
