The Las Vegas Raiders were defeated 31-14 by the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13. It represented the debut for interim offensive coordinator Greg Olson, who replaced the recently fired Chip Kelly. Unfortunately, the Raiders offense didn't show any improvement in Olson's first game calling plays.

The Raiders managed just 14 points, which slightly elevated their per-game average to 14.9. They are now the second-lowest scoring offense in the NFL after the Tennessee Titans dropped to 32nd following a three-point performance. It was more or less the same output Kelly was getting out of the offense.

Geno Smith completed 18-of-23 passing attempts for 165 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He fumbled once, but the Raiders managed to recover it. The struggling offensive line allowed Smith to be sacked on five occasions, and he was under constant pressure.

Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty found no room to operate as per usual. The recent sixth overall selection rushed for 31 yards via 15 carries, averaging 2.1 yards per carry. Olson couldn't get the run game going.

Brock Bowers was the Raiders' only true receiving threat. He registered four receptions for 63 yards and both of the Raiders' touchdowns. Jeanty caught six passes for minimal gains, and the top wide receiver was rookie Jack Bech, who had two receptions for 22 yards.

The offense was a combined 2-of-10 on third and fourth downs and possessed the ball for more than 10 fewer minutes than the Chargers did. Daniel Carlson did not attempt a field goal and the Raiders punted four times. In total, the offense managed 156 net yards.

It was more or less the same.
