Star guards and former Dallas Mavericks teammates Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson took home Player of the Week honors, being named the best players in their conference from Nov. 24-30.

In the Eastern Conference, Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to a 4-0 record with victories against the Nets, Hornets, Bucks and Raptors. Across that span, Brunson averaged 28.8 points per game and 4.5 assists while shooting over 40% from three-point range.
This marks the first time each have taken home the award this season, with Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets being the only player to do it twice.
The irony in all of this is that the duo of Brunson and Doncic used to share a backcourt together with the Mavericks. Brunson departed after the Dallas front office was unwilling to match the contract that he signed with New York. As for Doncic, no one can forget the deal that sent him to the Lakers in return for a package headlined by Anthony Davis.
